Bam Bam Romance

I was digging through my hard drive and found this picture in my hueg Geass dump.

I’m not particularly fond of either of them, I don’t really bother to try and “understand” their romance, and I was in the “I HOPE OUGI JUST DIED” crowd when Lelouch blew up Fuji-san. Buuut, the two of them have both progressed and changed despite being shoved into their side character roles. Even though the fact that Villetta is a commoner was kind of shoved into the supplementary materials and not really made a point of in the anime itself (I guess you were supposed to maybe draw the conclusion from how she can make homemade lunch boxes and shit without the supplementary to help you), she has gone from trying to deny her commoner past to giving up her “blah blah status is everything” attitude. Ougi meanwhile went from being a spineless faggot baaawing about Naoto and kinda doing what people wanted him to do and being that “normal guy”, to taking a stand and beating up Diethard because his woman was being held hostage. In a cast as large as Geass’s, I think the fact that they both changed and are able to show that change is super awesome! Unfortunately(?), Ougi’s change decided to show itself at a shitty time, and the result = who gives a fuck about you two or your kid.

(Btw, Ougi doesn’t really bother me because due to his character changes, Schneizel’s black hole of intelligence managed to go off without a hitch on the Black Knights.)

Geass Dub Lulz

From the dub stream of S1 15:

Epic censor job. Even Kallen’s shower scene was less retarded than this. I like the script writing too. “Are you waking up now?” and “What were you doing in that place passed out like that?” Christ, its like an Eliza script…

Related to the English Geass world, the results are up for Bandai’s character poll~ 4chan powervoted Clovis to #1, Rivalz to #2, and Shirley to #4. Maybe now they’ll fix Clovis’s character page icon so it’s not the Glaston Knights dude anymore?

Also, Yzak/LtEagle’s logic is pretty flawless here IMO:

It wasn’t 4chan, it was CLAMP, who have been quoted multiple times as saying that Clovis is their favorite character.

Oh, and the Geass R1 DVD’s are glitched.
