lol ignore this. i forgot misinterpreted something from the raw, but still amusing~
The log says everything. Editing into a proper post is not required.
[schneizel] okay i guess lelouch is going to go rule the world with schneizel as his perma-geass’ed right hand man :v
[schnwtfhisname] fuck why is that making sense.
[schnwtfhisname] the geass would make him have like…effort.
[schneizel] yes.
[schneizel] it made him have effort
[schneizel] and start caring
[schneizel] kannon ntoices that
[schnwtfhisname] yeah.
[schneizel] …watch, omg.
[schneizel] schneizel + “EFFORT”geass = most broken character
[schnwtfhisname] so for all the buildup, this is his “punishment”
[schnwtfhisname] lol indeed.
[schneizel] since he can apparently remove a gun from his coat and fire it at the fucking speed of light before diethard can even react
[schnwtfhisname] if Lelouch is smart enough to realize that
[schneizel] so basically we have like an uber-xingke* who is completely loyal to lelouch.
[schneizel] great.
[schnwtfhisname] D:
[schneizel] in [EFFORT] state
[schneizel] schneizel can probably outwit him in chess in like [5 seconds]
[schneizel] ~!
[schnwtfhisname] lolol.
[schneizel] then lelouch is gunna regret this shit
[schneizel] and be like
[schneizel] “GOD DAMN JEREMIAH”
[schneizel] “get THE FUCK OVER HERE”
* = gun-wielding xingke, anyway
I’ve rewatched and reread and overanalyzed stuff in my quest(?) to make up a billion theories about what’s inside of Schneizel’s heart and spam my ass +50 posts over the course of the past week (as of this post, I’m at 39/50, and I doubt I’ll make it by tonight). When considering his NANDEKOREWA face from S1 22, I initially took it as his reaction to the unpredictable, but how about taking it and his interaction with Euphy to mean that incest is inside of his heart? I think this is the last “mystery” left from the opening. Naturally, I have an awesome theory about it. Ever seen Independence Day? At the end, the crop duster saves the world. So I’m predicting that Nina makes an anti-FLEIA, then for some [magical reason] all other ways of using this fail, so she straps it on Ganymede, gets laughed at + underestimated ’cause it’s an ancient KMF, then she kamikazes Damocles. The result will be either neutralizing FLEIA’s power somehow, or blowing Damocles + all of the other FLEIA’s up (Schneizel said he gathered all of the FLEIA’s onto Damocles before so lol). Y/N? Lelouch has already removed the largest source of Sakuradite from the world, so the next step is to get rid of shit that uses Sakuradite so we can remove the destructive plot stone from the plot already.
After my last post about the Diethard working with Lelouch theory, some comments asked what exactly would Diethard do against him.
Answering this question is simple: Diethard was in the room when Schneizel talked about lol become God. If Diethard is against Schneizel, then having learned Schneizel and Kannon’s own tricks, Diethard has recorded the convo. He’ll play it for the Black Knights who will then turn against Schneizel and move their asses back to Lelouch. Schneizel gets a NOT FUCKING AMUSED, “I do not enjoy the taste of own medicine” face. Etc. Re-reading the Animedia article with the SunRise comments about Schneizel, I feel it’s implied that Schneizel is too arrogant to consider Diethard a threat to him. Also, remember the blue 2 ball which falls into the hole on its own? Probably foreshadowing of Schneizel causing his own downfall~
But I think that situation is seriously dumb. He would get properly owned, which I do expect, but not factoring in Diethard’s previous relationship with the Black Knights as a possibility against him would be extremely fucking silly. I guess you argue that by keeping Diethard around, he’s already decided to not factor it in. Or you could argue that his fabled black hole of intelligence turns against him. Or you could say that he’s gotten cocky and quit thinking ahead, which I would consider out of character. I do think that Schneizel’s arrogant, but I don’t think that his head is stuck that far up his ass. This is based on how nothing has been greatly beyond his calculations besides the Euphinator event so far.
Schneizel spilling his lol bad guy plans with Diethard around is OOC, unless it turns out that he intended for Diethard to hear them because he is actually up to something else. Or something. (inb4 “I intended you to record that and spread it so I would look like a major asshole because I’m actually the one trying to be fucking Celestial Being. Fuck off, Lelouch.”)
So why has like every random minor R2 character besides Kannon and the Ikaruga Bridge Bunnies not died yet? I have five theories about Kannon~ Characters you know little about are fun to speculate about. :D Read more »
Have you ever seen that episode of Naruto where Kakashi takes off his face mask and reveals that there’s another mask on underneath? I’ve never seen it but ellspurs told me before that it’s one of the stupidest Naruto fillers and it was based off of 4 panels from the manga.
…anyway, Schneizel’s mask came off in this episode. But like… WHAT IF THERE’S ANOTHER MASK ON UNDER HIS MASK???//// Two interpretations: Everything he told Cornelia is completely serious. This is his “true self” and his “lol nice guy” thing was his only mask. Alternatively, Schneizel is just an asshole, period. This is his “true self” and the ruling the world thing is another mask. You can justify both interpretations, and it’s the next couple episodes which will make or break them. Read more »
There’s a theory that Diethard is there to fuck over Schneizel and is actually working with Lelouch entirely based on that shitfaced grin Diethard was giving him, but I have a counter to it.
If Diethard is his ace in the hole, why does Lelouch think the only person he can rely on is Nina? Listen to his thoughts at the end of the episode. He thinks his only trump card is Nina. This was in his head, so its not like he’d have to filter out that Diethard is secretly still with him.
If Diethard turns out to be working with him all along, then I would like to label Lelouch’s inner thoughts from the end of the episode as bad and forgetful writing.
Edit: I have also considered that Diethard is actually on Lelouch’s side and Lelouch DOESN’T KNOW IT etc, but that’s not really the theory I’m talking about. The theory is specifically that their exchanged glances means “KEIKAKU DOORI.”
lolwait, at the end of the extended preview, does Lelouch say that his final card is within Schneizel’s heart? What’s he going to do… Get on the open channel and tell Schneizel, “AREN’T I THE MAN YOU LOVE THE MOST?! ;___;”
(Or maybe it refers to Kannon)
Edit / Preview translation from coj:
If Suzaku and I joined forces, we could achieve anything. That’s how it was supposed to be. But Schneizel’s menace - that true threat - lies in a (sheer) lack of attachment. Just what tactics will the man who knows Geass and has obtained Freya adopt in his boundless ambition? Will strategy no longer work on a battlefield dominated by Freya? The final gamble, that very card, lies in Schneizel’s own heart…
I’m guessing Lelouch wants to use Schneizel’s lack of attachment against Schneizel. Or Kannon is what’s in Schneizel’s heart, and he’s going to become important for defeating Schneizel suddenly, which is why he’s been left alive this whole time while other characters get axe’d. Grinch ending? Or perhaps Kannon dies and Schneizel loses it?

…is this Nunnally using the all purpose detonator-chan to say… fire FLEIA’s? Haha, oh wow. Schneizel, you fabulous jackass. Are you making your little sister fire them so when the blame game comes up, you can just point fingers about how it was ultimately her doing it, and look sparkly clean, gloves on no blood stains as usual? Oh you and your mind games.
…lol maybe Nunnally’s gum quote is talking about Schneizel.
Lelouch: DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT HE’S DONE?! [23 e-newsletter quote]
Nunnally: YES… I’LL PUT AN END TO HIS BAD KARMA!11 [possibly nunnally's gum quote]
Lelouch: …D:— me @ gamefaq’s :D
I was making up random bullshit, but after re-reading that, I really kinda wonder…
Schneizel is Dullindal-esque, not in that he’s going to magically going to judge humans by genetics, but because Nina, who is going to be Rey-esque, is going to kill him to redeem herself because she has been set up to maybe have like redeeming qualities or something. Oh, and Kannon is Talia-esque for no apparent reason other than the hilarious implications of that comparison. Schneizel will have the floating tower of death called Damocles (look at the thing that Toudou is up against in the op - it’s Damocles, and those multiple green wedges = Britannia’s signature Float System, they like green) [1] which is basically going to be MESSIAH (but not in space since Code Geass doesn’t do space or something) and it will serve some purpose like “Schneizel wants to rule the world, k” which fits in fine with what he said at the end of R2 21.
If we take Damocles as a metaphor to find it’s purpose, then he’s going to sit in the sky and let the world go about doing its thing, but then when he’s un-amused he’s going to punch them in the face from the sky. This way, he would effectively rule it simply by fear while not necessarily being the one in charge… the Sword of Damocles is supposed to act as a cute reminder to the people who are actually in charge. Meanwhile, Britannia and the UFN are gunna Double Ships Alliance against this shit.
I was originally writing this without the Gundam SEED Destiny comparison as it lacks substance beyond a situational set up and none of the characters are really that remotely alike and [stuff], but I couldn’t resist. After all, GSD was one of the first shows I ever speed subbed and it has a “special place” in my heart these days. Oh glorious fagsubber nostalgia.
(Is this even the right place to put the read more? I thought this wouldn’t be that long on screen but it is and now I’ve got nfc where to put the fucking read more. Seriously I don’t understand the art of where you put the read more and how you tag and categorize.) Read more »
I suspect people will have varied interpretations on what each individual piece of the puzzle does.
This is my take. Read more »
So I was thinking about that “LAST BOSS = SCHNEIZEL” comment. I really hope it doesn’t mean that the LAST BATTLE in Geass is Lelouch vs Schneizel in chess. Lelouch is supposed to get a satisfactory ending too. I guess a “satisfactory ending” would be kicking Schneizel’s ass at chess since apparently he’s been butthurt about this since he was like 6. However for the roller coaster that is Geass, that seems fairly anti-climatic for an ending.
One of the magazines from last month gave character birthdays, ages, horoscope, etc. On the bottom, it included a DECISIVE RIVAL BATTLE!!! box which showed that particular character’s rival/enemy. Let’s analyze them! :D Read more »
Must get this out of my head before fagsubbing.
In the episode, it’s revealed Marianne has some kind of magic h4x Geass, which C.C. gave her. However, Marianne “violated the contract”. This is likely related to her “I don’t want immortality” shit from the storyboard pencils.
Marianne herself says that she didn’t come to C.C.’s museum ‘o memories out of concern for Lelouch, which C.C. thought was the case, but rather because she wanted to know if C.C. was still in league with Marianne and some other folks. We’ve got no clue who those other folks are, but Marianne specifically says watashitachi (”we”), so uhmmmm.
Her comment where she teases C.C. about thinking she’s that kind of ideal mother makes her seem all shadyish on the inside because the way she’s been presented until now is with fabulous glitter sparkling around her. Maybe she’s been hyped up as an awesome and amazing Mary Sue-type on purpose. Maybe she’s like female version of Schneizel?
Hell, maybe they’re working together, and that thing about Schneizel taking away her body wasn’t really the Emperor’s order.
Marianne also says that C.C.’s code is something she sealed herself. So where does the magazine thing about Charles stealing her code come from? D: Furthermore, if you can seal your code by yourself, why baaaw about immortality? This screams “plot hole” until they expand on it more, imo.
Edit: Aw fuck. I posted this like a month ago:
Marianne’s death caused Lelouch to create a terrorist organization and that puts people into massive conflict! She seems to be aware of the events of the world from within the World of C, and her reaction to it all? “Fucking lulz! C.C. do you like him, y/n?”
Shouldn’t… this kind of thing have been an early indicator about her?
So, uh, about Anya/Nunnally [stuff]. Push aside the clone-type theories for 5sec. What if they were switched at birth? Of course this raises the question of “WHY”, but like if you’re replacing a child at the time of their birth, picking another child who was born at a similar time obviously MAKES SENSE, which would explain their 1day apart birthdays. Also it’s a bit less “…” than “CLONE!1″
Uhm, hey, shit, I just realized that on the Animedia birthday and age and blood type and rival scans, a picture of Odysseus and Guinievere is given for Marianne’s “RIVAL DECISIVE BATTLE” picture. Then there’s that thing from earlier scans about Guin BEING UP TO SOMETHING.
…..DEFEAT THE WICKED STEPBROTHERS/SISTERS AND SCHNEIZEL AS EMPEROR END CONFIRMED?
So if I’m reading these new 20-22 magazine summaries correctly, then Curly is going to go to Kamine Island and raise some ruin there or whatever, and Lelouch is going to challenge Charles and win, and Suzaku is going to challenge the Knight of One and win, all in ep 21. The world will be unaware of this bullshit while Britannia continues fighting the UFN.
…so Curly until 21 then it’s crazy guy Schneizel from 22 to end? Please?
Schneizel, there’s way to win this series: Sit on the sidelines, let Lelouch and Dad kill each other, then come in at the last moment and be like “fuck yeah I win by default”. Srsly. He could make this like Hamlet and be Prince Forbitinas. But it looks like Schneizel wants in on Curly and Lelouch’s super fun awesome times with Geass. Schneizel’s behavior indicates that he’s setting himself up to be fucked in the ass a few times over by the end. Not that I mind of course, Yaoi fangirl that I am.
R2 17 showed that despite his Geass researching, he hasn’t really discovered much. Cornelia with one arm and no resources has been doing better than him at this shit, though he hasn’t had a year to fully devote himself to doing that since it’d be treeeason against Dad. If Lelouch had gone, “Sure big brother I’ll trust you”, I assume he would’ve played the Nunnally card to interrogate Lelouch to find out info about Geass. He does seem to have heard about Lelouch’s power before, as Guilford’s betrayal didn’t seem to shake him much, and he commented about not having any choice but to believe now, a comment about Lelouch’s power. By the end of the episode, he’s attempting to emotionally blackmail Suzaku into telling him more about Geass, plus drop Freya on Tokyo. (I really hope no one thought that Canon’s comment about, “If you had just told Schneizel this from the start, this shit never would’ve happened” was sincere.)
Even though he knows jack shit about Geass and what is actually going on behind the scenes, at the end of R2 17 he seems pretty confident that everything has fallen into place for him now and he’s got the cards in his hands. That’s quite a bit of faith in magic vacuum implosion whatever atom bombs and that “Damocles” thing he spoke of before. Believe in the heart of the cards, Schneizel! Read more »
