Last Boss Schneizel, Plot Device Nunnally, Emperor Lelouch

I started writing something in last night’s pot ‘o potpourri and then it turned into a long run on sentence and now I’m going to expand on what I was writing there further. Also, fuck structured writing. I just feel like spewing shit. Lack of self-editing is kind of fun. Not even going to re-read to see if I happened to change my mind in the process of writing. Zero Re:quiem (and other random stuff)

• I think you’re supposed to spell it “Zero Re:quiem”, and the “Re:” R2 25 title is a reference to this.
• R2 22 nuked a lot of my Nina R2 post I was writing. See, the entry turned into a long rant about why I thought the story was directing itself towards Nina redeeming herself, but this is all useless now that R2 22 basically confirmed she’s doing this.
• I thought of a way to combine Kannon being Naoto and Schneizel’s defeat: Kannon has memory loss, then during the FINAL CONFLICT he suddenly regains his memories then he’s like, “Uhmm Nippon Banzai D:” (I assume Schneizel is going to be using Damocles on Japan.)
• Yaoi fangirlishness aside, Kannon is a pretty pointless character. The fact he hasn’t died yet when other randomly pointless characters have is quite amazing. At this rate he really will be Naoto.
• Lelouch and Suzaku are basically Celestial Being now. I don’t know why people are shitting bricks over their actions in R2 22 ’cause it’s always been, “I’m going to villainize myself. I’m a douchebag. FUCK YEAH theatrics!” in Geass.
• Oh who the fuck cares if Kaguya is crying. (I don’t care if Cagalli is crying either.)
• Monica. ;___; Suzaku must genuinely be a homo to kill the moe chick, the new chick, but spare his gaysex buddy Gino.
• So Nunnally has a human lie detector. If Schneizel’s been lying to her, his fabulous must be tricking her lie detector.
• Lelouch went to Japan and trolled the UFN purely to get Nina. Fuck yeah international trolling just to get the table humper.

Disneyland is on top of Damocles

I have decided after re-watching R2 22 that Damocles has a blue Disneyland Castle on top of it (Note: this is also the background for the scene in the opening when Nunnally throws the crane, I think), meaning the top of Damocles is Disneyland itself. Since Schneizel is stupidly rich and utterly ridiculous (thanks to our friend, the rainbow colored bathos we call “FABULOUS”), building a Disneyland Theme Park on top of your flying fortress of doom is absolutely normal.

Which brings me to this picture. See how Lelouch is passed out from the Tea Cups ride in the background? Yeah? Okay, when Lelouch gets to the top of Damocles and enters the castle, he’s going to have to battle the Tea Cups ride and the Its a Small World ride, and fail miserably.

Chess as the final battle? Haha, we have been trolled. It’s Disneyland, bitches.

Evil Schneizel Finally Here?

I’ve been waiting for 25 eps, 2 recaps, 2 dvd specials, some [time inbetween], and 21 more episodes since I saw him do the hair flick in the JIBUN WO~ opening, and… holy fuck the episode 23 preview.

In this episode, Suzaku obliterates the Knights of Rounds, Bismark has a future-seeing Geass he gets to use for five seconds, MONICA DIES WTF, Rivalz x Nina end confirmed, and Lelouch is trying to troll the UFN when Schneizel shows up in Damocles at the end (his party includes Cornelia, Kannon, Diethard and Anya) having bombed the fuck out of Pendragon, and with Nunnally alive as the episodic TWEEST. Schneizel’s plans at this point are probably to make Nunnally the Empress and rule from the shadows. Or something similar.

Lelouch is trolling Britannia and the UFN, Schneizel is trolling Lelouch, and we’re all being trolled by SunRise.

Potpurri

• The above picture raises a point about Schneizel’s outfit: Is the purple thing under sleeveless or not? We’ve never seen him w/o the overcoat, huh. Also, living in Arizona sucks. I used this picture because I’ve been eating ice cream lately for a cold snack.
• The Geass.jp website has a summary for Turn 22 which includes the phrase, “a new story is being sung” or something similar, which is really comforting to hear for episode 22 in a 25 episode series. If it was “new chapter” I probably wouldn’t be saying anything but uhm!
• There’s a new poll on BIGLOBE for your favorite R2 episode. The fields on the bottom = Comment, Gender (M / F) and Age. I’m tempted to vote for R2 19 and put “Schneizel is a fucking magician” in the comment box.
• The Geass.jp website also lists a new event called Cafe Geass which will take place at the mai:lish maid cafe in Akiba. They’re making a drink and food menu of some sort to reflect the characters images and will have various Geass merchandise on display. Maybe it’s due to subbing Antique Bakery, but I really want pics of the food they make for it…
• The Sound Episode 4 cover and details have been announced. It features Lelouch and a fabulous rainbow of fast food, and Kallen doing some semi-Guren cosplay.
• Yesterday I went to my anime club to try to make them watch Geass R2. It was rejected because they’re strict about watching series as a club. When I suggested this, people yelled out, “Just do what she said, Geass is awesome” and the Club President said something like, “Wat no Geass was okay until like ep 22 of the first season”. Interesting, seeing as how most think that srsbsns shit went down in 22-25 that made Geass awesum in the first place.
  • They ended up watching Kara no Kyoukai 3 without watching 1 or 2 (though this is likely because we explained that it’s told out of order anyway). It’s extremely weird watching stuff you sub on the projector at school… and in Windows Media Player. D: I avoided telling them I’m from the fansub group so they don’t ask me where the fuck movie 4 is.
  • Dio/Yujiro from IRC and ADTRW went to his anime club too yesterday because they advertised themselves using a Spinzaku wearing a top hat and cane poster. I have yet to hear anything from him about how that went though.
• S1 19 of the dub is supposed to be on AdultSwim today, which will introduce Schneizel’s dub voice actor. I suspect it’ll be up by the time I get home from class so if they did a separate clip with him in it I’ll throw it up. (Also since I’m lazy I think I’ll make the next poll about Dubeizel)
• Canned Dogs posted about Geass’s BIGLOBE’s online stream viewing numbers from an MSN article. I asked Tamaki’s Girlfriend to check out the BIGLOBE webpage before to see if there were any view counters that the public could see, and she gave us a screenshot that didn’t indicate there was a view counter. The numbers are, assuming Bandai Visual isn’t lying out of their asses, mostly positive (420k+ views on R2 01). Why no public view counter on the stream anyway?
• Oh, speaking of the dub, Bandai Ent. has begun shipping replacement disks for the defectives.

Lelouch deserves an award for “Worst Idea Ever”

The new magazine summaries and information are out. They spoil how Kallen escapes: Sayoko saves her at the government building when she’s about to be executed, then they fly out in the Guren [Long Name] and she apparently fights Luciano. Probably rescues Lelouch when he’s tied up by Luciano in the preview. So I guess she refuses Gino’s offer, and he’s like “Sorry babe we gotta kill you then”. But what the fuck? They’re trying to execute Kallen during the battle of Tokyo during the black out?

But uh, anyway, this means that… Rolo is going to get Nunnally by himself? Lelouch, you’re a fucking genius. Yeah lets send the nameless grunts with Rolo to help him get Nunnally instead of Sayoko. Makes perfect fucking sense. Even if Lelouch Geass’ed the nameless grunts, Rolo can still time freeze them. Maybe he Geassed Rolo to not be a fucking shitcunt.

Oh, and about Nunnally, some people think that the younger, child Charles looks similar to Nunnally. And she has some magical lie detector power. CALLING IT NOW: Nunnally is a female clone of Charles, pure and unable to lie but able to detect lies, who will become leader of the new world after Charles destroys and re-creates the world through Ragnarok!

The ep 22 summary indicates that Lelouch is going to get emo and run off to a place of neutrality that’s from his memories. /a/ believes this is Australia and I’m just going to agree with them. Alternatively, perhaps Area 11 has gone into neutrality after being bombed to fuck by His Royal Hotness.
