R2 Vol. 2 Rolo Rag

`House opened up his R2 Vol. 2 and found this “random gay extra” which turned out to be a white cloth. Or should I say rag? (Or should I say Rolo?) The text on Lelouch’s picture is about him using Rolo and throwing him away like a rag.

This is what it looks like spread open. (You can see `House’s Sleeping Beauty BD to the left. :p) As you can tell by the tag, this was made in the Chinese Federation and not in Britannia or any Area 11 facilities.

Potpurri

• The above picture raises a point about Schneizel’s outfit: Is the purple thing under sleeveless or not? We’ve never seen him w/o the overcoat, huh. Also, living in Arizona sucks. I used this picture because I’ve been eating ice cream lately for a cold snack.
• The Geass.jp website has a summary for Turn 22 which includes the phrase, “a new story is being sung” or something similar, which is really comforting to hear for episode 22 in a 25 episode series. If it was “new chapter” I probably wouldn’t be saying anything but uhm!
• There’s a new poll on BIGLOBE for your favorite R2 episode. The fields on the bottom = Comment, Gender (M / F) and Age. I’m tempted to vote for R2 19 and put “Schneizel is a fucking magician” in the comment box.
• The Geass.jp website also lists a new event called Cafe Geass which will take place at the mai:lish maid cafe in Akiba. They’re making a drink and food menu of some sort to reflect the characters images and will have various Geass merchandise on display. Maybe it’s due to subbing Antique Bakery, but I really want pics of the food they make for it…
• The Sound Episode 4 cover and details have been announced. It features Lelouch and a fabulous rainbow of fast food, and Kallen doing some semi-Guren cosplay.
• Yesterday I went to my anime club to try to make them watch Geass R2. It was rejected because they’re strict about watching series as a club. When I suggested this, people yelled out, “Just do what she said, Geass is awesome” and the Club President said something like, “Wat no Geass was okay until like ep 22 of the first season”. Interesting, seeing as how most think that srsbsns shit went down in 22-25 that made Geass awesum in the first place.
  • They ended up watching Kara no Kyoukai 3 without watching 1 or 2 (though this is likely because we explained that it’s told out of order anyway). It’s extremely weird watching stuff you sub on the projector at school… and in Windows Media Player. D: I avoided telling them I’m from the fansub group so they don’t ask me where the fuck movie 4 is.
  • Dio/Yujiro from IRC and ADTRW went to his anime club too yesterday because they advertised themselves using a Spinzaku wearing a top hat and cane poster. I have yet to hear anything from him about how that went though.
• S1 19 of the dub is supposed to be on AdultSwim today, which will introduce Schneizel’s dub voice actor. I suspect it’ll be up by the time I get home from class so if they did a separate clip with him in it I’ll throw it up. (Also since I’m lazy I think I’ll make the next poll about Dubeizel)
• Canned Dogs posted about Geass’s BIGLOBE’s online stream viewing numbers from an MSN article. I asked Tamaki’s Girlfriend to check out the BIGLOBE webpage before to see if there were any view counters that the public could see, and she gave us a screenshot that didn’t indicate there was a view counter. The numbers are, assuming Bandai Visual isn’t lying out of their asses, mostly positive (420k+ views on R2 01). Why no public view counter on the stream anyway?
• Oh, speaking of the dub, Bandai Ent. has begun shipping replacement disks for the defectives.

R2 DVD1/BD1 shipment

R2 shipped 100k+ copies (combined between DVD and BluRay Disc). The Macross F dual release figure was also around that much, though figures were given for the individual discs.

`Gaius got his Geass S1 Blu-Ray and the Picture Drama is also TEN EIGHTY PEE. He said that his R2 Blu-Ray was being held captive in France though. Baaaw. Also, shifting the stuff for the new one was easy. The frames were the fucking same. No scene timing required. Cow Schneizel

I ordered the Schneizel Zodiac Fortune figure and it came in the mail the other day. He’s on my car keychain now with my Orange-kun.

Schneizel is the Taurus of the set, dressed as a cow. Srsbsns, it’s fucking adorable. Also, there’s lots of fun fangirl faggotry to be born from this figure. He’s horny and makes milk. I’m sure Kannon loves drinking the milk he produces and licking his nipples.

The WORLD END Lyrics Booklet is… Fabulous

I am extremely amused that the Everything is [xxx] lyrics are written in cursive and there are random rotated nan/i’s, that the dare mo line is wavy, and that there are random butterflies on the page. If this had rainbows, it’d go from being “fabulous” to being “FABULOUS”. I’m honestly tempted to go style the gg op lyrics like this.

Schneizel Cake. Yes, Schneizel Cake. Japan is superior.

• There’s a rip of Rolo’s character song from the 2nd Sound Episode floating around, and he randomly says “Nii-san~” in the middle. I fucking lol’d.
• Instrumental version of Waga Routashi Aku No Hana is superior to the vocal version.
• If Geass was in a “real world” high school setting, Schneizel would be the guy at school who all of the girls give their o-bentou’s to. Also he would totally be in the Host Club.
• Why the fuck does the Refrain dealer from R2 08 have a character page on Geass.jp and Canon doesn’t?
• BAD END = Nina and Suzaku living until the end?
• I kind of want to write another wall of tl;dr about Schneizel but at the same time I kind of don’t and would rather wait to see what the fuck Damocles is before I bother writing another wall. There are some fairly interesting things to be said about this episode + him though, imo! Maybe I’ll just make another epic bullet point list, hurrr.
• Schneizel would make a wonderful actor if he was real. Someone at GameFAQ’s thought that Lelouch and Schneizel would buddy-up and near the end, Lelouch would give some kind of speech like, “Britannia would become a better place under Schneizel”. I facepalmed.
• On that note, wouldn’t Britannia kind of become semi-okay if Odysseus was in charge? He’s the 1st Prince and 1st Heir anyway. Lelouch is going to kill Dad, and probably Schneizel too since he touched Nunnally’s shoulder, so it SOUNDS LIKE Odysseus is going to become the next Emperor if he lives until the end.
• Drill Burai from the DS game = Proto-type Gurren Lagann, y/n?
• If Gino helps Kallen “become a member of the Rounds”, it’s so she can get into the new Guren, then she ditches them, and they can be enemies and fight again! Srsbsns. Also, if anyone de-fagatizes Suzaku, I guess it’ll be Gino. (Which is sad since Gino is also a total fag, unless their faginess will cancel each other out. Wtf Fag Canceler Geass?)
• Eej theorizes that Anya’s memories will return because she’ll randomly float into range of Orange, and Orange will randomly use his Geass Canceller, and Anya will suddenly remember everything. Since this is Geass, I think Eej is completely correct here.
• The R2 OST tracklist is out, and includes a song titled Beautiful Emperor. Schneizel as Emperor end confirmed? Sure as fuck isn’t talking about Charles. There’s also a Lullaby of M, which I assume is Marianne. Maybe she is actually a Geass Giver named M.M. And there’s some Engrish, track 23 is titled Grand Freet.

Edit: Scans obtained and there is a difference between what was posted yesterday on websites and the lyrics scan. grunty noticed that the sei kanji is 生. The shukuen kanji is also 祝筵 on the scan so it was banquet after all. Zzz.

The covers for S1 mostly followed characters who were important-ish during the episodes the volume covers. IE; Kallen was on the cover of the volume that had Refrain and Guren Dance.

Missing S1 Sound Episodes

Tamaki’s Girlfriend translated all of the Geass S1 sound episodes then took them down when she found out that Bandai was bringing them out in the USA commercially. 15 of the 18 translations have since been passed around the internets. The ones missing are for 5.831, 0.916, and 21.534. I saved the transcripts for 5.831 and 21.534 from 2ch. Maybe a kind anon would/will translate them? gg is kinda busy (tonight is Geass night then there’s the cool down and sanity check period from the speedsub rush). D:

0.916 (The Black King) is from when Lelouch meets Rivalz! Rivalz is playing chess and getting his ass kicked, then Lelouch is like “lol nub i take over dis game 4 u”. They haven’t met before, but Lelouch has SUPER MEMORY SKILLS and knows who Rivalz is because he memorized the entire Ashford student roster. Lelouch takes over the chess game for him against the Generic Snooty Noble. Lelouch gives Rivalz a note to open after the game. He uses his move the King magic and wins. Rivalz opens up the note and finds that Lelouch had written down the moves for the rest of the game. PSYCHIC POWERS! On his way out, Rivalz offers to give him a lift on his bike, but Lelouch think he would look unfabulous and 100% faggot if he was riding on another guys back. And thus, Rivalz got his sidecar. The end!

WORLD END Guesswork

Note ~ The lyrics have since been published in Animedia. This is just kind of up here for archive/lulz.

A clear version of WORLD END (R2 Op2) is on NicoNico and Xabin translated it. They could probably make a nice opening animation to go with it, but knowing Geass it’ll wind up being a gay clipshow opening with 10seconds of new animation. :( I assume the Op will be from the start to 1:50 in the song, and they’ll cut down the instrumental part near the start to make it 1:30. :3
