The Dictionary of Charles

I suspect people will have varied interpretations on what each individual piece of the puzzle does. :j: This is my take.

God: Jupiter. The World of C. It’s also called uh, human will and all that. When you’re born, you come out of God. When you die, you return to God. I prefer to call it history, especially since characters seem to see flashbacks whenever they have a consciousness clash with the World of C.

The Sword of Akasha: A “refined system”. The yellow-hued room that Suzaku first called a shrine by mistake, likely due to the stairs, though it has other appearances. This is a device which can “destroy” God. The Sword seems to exist to bridge a gap between the conscious and the unconscious (humans and God). It’s not in reality, though your body seems to move anyway when you go there and things can happen to you there which reflect back in reality. This is in contrast to what we’ve seen of God. Since it’s not reality, Marianne can materialize here via mental power.

The Thought Elevator: The metal DNA-like DOUBLE HELIX strands that were going into Jupiter. This seemed to serve as a function to separate humans from their masks. Note how that after the Thought Elevator collapses, masks are shown re-materializing as humans. Based on a conversation from S1, the Thought Elevator was created by Charles.

The Ragnarok Connection: An “ancient system”. Ragnarok Connection seems to be the name of the idea of returning man to God through some kind of rebirth/renew. I assume the “ancient system” part refers to the use of Ragnarok in Norse Mythology, in which it brought about the end and a new beginning.

Geass Ruins: Magic or occult devices. These can be connected to the Sword, or perhaps Charles connected the Sword to them? He has been locating these ruins after all. Each ruin has a red sigil of some sort that lights up when used. You need either a Code or a special device to utilize them.

Geass Code: More magic, used for immortality and to make connections between planes, namely between God and the real world. (Or perhaps immortality is a result of a connection with God) From within the Sword of Akasha, they were used to activate the ruins.

Putting this all together, the Geass Codes can activate the Geass Ruins, and when those activate the Sword to activates too. The Sword then piles humans up through the Thought Elevator (I’m guessing the Thought Elevator is just a function of the Sword, as it seems to only exist in the Sword), and the act of returning humans to God is the act of “slaying God”, because God wears humans as masks, but there’s no point to that if they’re all one to begin with. Charles then considers this whole process Ragnarok.

tl;dr = Charles is gone, Schneizel’s up next. Fuck yeah Schneizel screen time. :shlick:
