SRSBSNS for 5sec about R2 18, plz?
Longer title: “Things you should notice about R2 18 and the R2 19 extended preview, because apparently people don’t actually notice them. Also IRC convos.”
18 itself:
#1: FLEIA cleanly disintegrates matter. Nuclear bombs in our world don’t do this - the mushroom cloud effect is supposed to be debris and [stuff].
#2: The Valkyrie girl who goes “KEWELL ;A;” also looks like Kewell. HINT HINT.
#3: Nunnally boarded a different vessel than Ms. Rohmeyer. If this didn’t register in your mind, quit watching Geass.
#4: Tamaki is blind.
#5: Orange is seemingly no longer fucked by the Gefjun Disturber.
Next, the 19 extended preview:
#1: Cornelia looks happy because IT’S FREAKING SCHNEIZEL. She’s always lowered her GRRRR, TOUGH GIRL mode for him.
#2: The palm shown at the end of the preview isn’t Schneizel or Lelouch. Holy fuck. How dense do you have to be to think that’s Schneizel or Lelouch? It’s Charles.

I thought it was Lelouch’s T^T I mean, teh code, he must have at least part of it, or else it woudn’t make sense that Anya got brainattacked in contact with him >.> besides, he’s been wearing his gloves all the time ever since. >.<? neh?
So, who wants to bet Charles’ other code, besides the one on his palm is on his chest? 8B
Oh and by the way, you powers of observation amaze me, can I have your glasses? 8D

Oh okay. Orange-kun is an 8th Gen Robot.

Nukes do sort of “cleanly disintegrate matter”, but only in a small area right next to the explosion, where the temperature reaches insane enough values. You’re not going to see any of that, though, due to the BLINDING LIGHT and then the shockwave fucking everything up all over immediately afterwards. The mushroom cloud is indeed just debris, dust and plain old smoke. It’s not a feature of just atomic explosions, either, any large enough explosion will create a mushroom cloud. It’s really just hot air rising and looking scary. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mO15dZIH_f8 for an example.
FLEIA doesn’t seem to have a shockwave or a rising fireball, so it’s not really looking like an explosion at all. Of course, making any assumptions about this would mean trusting the writers to get this stuff correct and that’s pretty shaky ground right there!
Somebody else also pointed out that FLEIA doesn’t seem to have any of the effects Lloyd mentions at the end of season 1 when Nina’s out on her rampage. I’ve been too lazy to check up on what he really said about it, but if that’s true then either FLEIA is not the same weapon Nina was building at the start, or else the writers just changed their mind again.

She probably upgraded it since the one she made before was in a school’s lab.

What Lloyd says in 25 is that if it goes according to Nina’s theory, then the whole Tokyo Settlement will get caught up in the explosion. What exactly does that mean? WHO KNOWS LOL.

There was something else too, but I’d have to get off my ass and watch through the episode. Sigh.

Why would Orange-kun be affected by the Gefjun disturber?
He was in the air in his Seigfried Sutherland. The Gefjun disturbers only affected the ground troops in and around Tokyo @_@

miasmacloud (August 12, 2008 @ 6:27 am)
Except the “ground troops” weren’t really on the ground. Basically, the effective range = ?

He’s inside a 7th Generation plus Knightmare or equivalent though.

All the Sutherlands are ground-based.
The only air troops Britannia had were Gareths which are above 5th-Generation level and weren’t affected by the Gefjun disturbers anyway.
Either way, Orange-kun was still airborne and probably protected by being encased in his haxSeigrfreid.

Are you sure he’s not just stupid?
Oh, and am I the only one who can’t seem to remember all the grunt’s names? I have no idea who Kewell is and I hardly remember which of Zero’s underlings are whom(Asahina, Chiba, etc.).

FLEIA looks more like an anti matter IMplosion than an explosion.
Judging by how there was no debris, and that it had a perfectly round radius, and the giant crater left afterwards.
So instead of everything being blown to bits….. they’d just…. drop off the face of the earth…
But not like any of that really matters right now anyway. Anyone caught in that is DEAD. Must be a nice way to go, in retrospect…

Poki (August 12, 2008 @ 9:42 am)
…An implosion sounds better and more plausible than the teleportation theory. But what really annoys me is how everyone who was caught in FLEIA’s range is listed as “whereabouts unknown”. If they’re dead, they’re dead, right? Don’t tell me that Sunrise themselves are in denial. And please don’t tell me they managed to survive the blast.
[Reply]
風の谷の名無しさん (August 12, 2008 @ 10:13 am)
Of course they survived. The biggest surprise they could pull at this point is if they turned out to ACTUALLY be dead!

Meh…. time will tell
Pajamas (August 13, 2008 @ 7:09 am)
Actually, on second thought, “whereabouts unknown” makes more sense than just listing the deaths. Looking back on it, i believe Nunnally made it out of that implosion intact. The glow on her face came from watching the pretty colors (or in her case, facing their general direction lol). Considering shit hit the fan and NOBODY’s plans worked the way they were supposed to, It’s too early to mark anyone as dead simply because they can’t find them.

why bothering with an explosion when fleia is an implosion based bomb?
@ep19 #1: to me it looks more like schneizel trying to dump cornelia. that face didnt look that happy to me imo

I thought that it was maybe Lulu’s palm too, but then I realized that Lulu wears a blue coat and blue pants, Charlie has blue coat/white pants.
And I’m guessing that maybe Orange’s mech blocks the Gefjun’s effects? Or maybe he just has to be really close to one for it to do anything to him (seeing as he could get himself to move a bit when he was right next to one in 13.) Or maybe just LOLSUNRISE.
Good catch on the Rohmeyer thing, though. So we could possibly be rid of the bitch but not Nunnaly or ninja meido, yayy!

Not really, since we clearly saw Sayoko and Nunally get absorbed by the light as well…

Yeah good catch on the Rohmeyer. I actually just figured this out. Was watching through the SEITEN parts again cuz Kallen with new completely broken mech nobody is supposed to be able to pilot = win.
Anyways and I noticed that Sayoko kicks the crap out of some dudes and is all “Nunnally-sama” and had control of the ship. Then a bit later when FLEIA goes off Rohmeyer goes “Why here?” and I noticed she was in her own vehicle and not knocked the fuck out by ninja meido.
Also how does everyone in the military know about FLEIA but OoBK don’t. Ever heard of espionage and spying? *sigh* I guess I shouldn’t try and inject logic into geass.

Ask yourself this question: Who would need to spy or even consider spying when they’re a guy who’s got a power that can make anyone do whatever he wants, is an insane douche, and is trying to save the world for his loli sister?

So that’s why Jeremiah didn’t get affected, he’s a damn 8th Generation Knightmare. :D

I believe Orange’s link with his KMF is protecting him from the Gefjun. I doubt Rakshata has the ability to mess with organic cybernetics, nor would Lelouch let everyone know they have a freaking robot man working with them.
