ITB, Geass is a trainwreck, the end

Well for starters Code Geass remains the only series I’ve ever seen that has had a dedicated blog to it attempting to explain how the series is a trainwreck (the blog is in fact called Code Trainwreck) so there’s really no way one can claim to me that there isn’t an organized bashing machine set up for this series.

I’ve really kept out of the “omg anime blogging drama” shit to focus on the series itself, but being used as an example which describes my blog in a manner that isn’t true is annoying.

This isn’t supposed to be like, SRSBSNS Geass blog. It’s kind of more like subber stress relief!

So, let me explain what this statement from my About page means: My blog is not srsbsns. Hurr. I think a decent example of what I mean by this is the Schneizel in the middle post, where the majority of the post is just speculation and character observations. However, at the end of the post, I remind you that I’m in fact a yaoi fangirl, and pretty blatantly. If this blog was SUPER SRSBSNS, it would not end like that.

Basically, the intended meaning is that this is a very casually and personally written blog. Sometimes I’m subbing this animu and just want to WRITE SOMETHING and I write it exactly like how I would in some IRC convo. In fact, part of the reason why this blog exists is because we’d have long ass convos in gg’s IRC staff room. My very early post about Nunnally is pretty much a written out version of a convo we had.

Some of it might be how I actually feel, other times it should be fairly easy to detect sarcasm or blatant bullshit for contrast or amusement. Regardless, I am not here waving my arms up and down trying to tell the internet, “Geass is a fucking trainwreck and I’ll tell you how ’cause I’m an ‘organized bashing machine’” which, frankly, is how the quoted passage makes it out to be.

Does this make sense, y/n?

Edit: Well now he’s peddling the bike wheels backwards, telling me he didn’t think I’d care if he used my blog as an example without permission because I’m like, uh, “not caring” or someshit and I don’t give off the [care] impression. I don’t know where that came from unless it’s an awesome interpretation of my internet slang writing style. I don’t care if you mention my blog, this isn’t kindergarten. However, making up bullshit about it to fit your articles needs is extremely kindergarten.

I make up a lot of bullshit for my writing, but I think its fairly obvious I’m not very srsbsns about that shit and its all in good entertainment. Buuut, he’s srsbsns trying to use me as an example in a “point” about bloggers taking a negative stance towards Geass. How the fuck do I have anything to do with people taking a negative stance in blogging towards Geass? I don’t, unless you make up bullshit that my blog is an anti-Geass hate machine.

And on that note, Kaioshin, where the fuck are those 20 blogs you said were exactly like mine? Seriously, 20 other blogs that write walls of tl;dr about Schneizel? I, sincerely, want to blogroll them.

Let me guess: You saw my post at AnimeSuki, clicked on the link, and based on your reaction in your reply post, you gauged from the header-only that I had some Geass-only blog, and I was totally anti-everything about Geass and I was using catch words like FABULOUS and TRAINWRECK. In other words, you judged a book by its cover! :D

Edit2: …I go take a nap without reading his “I’ll remove this if you [xxx]” comment, and I wake up to him making another comment that rescinds that last comment and goes “GRRRRR” at me. Okay whatever.

Edit3: Oh, how adorable. I left him a comment earlier that basically said, “I was sleeping during that time / I didn’t ask any anon to come post here / Whatever floats your boat” and he has my comments set on being auto-flagged for moderation.

It’s kinda lol how that person thought this was some srsbsns blog, even if they didn’t the About page. If this was a srsbsns geass sux blog, it would, well, ya know, bash the series more than the regular CG fan does with their occasional “Why do I watch this show?!”

Obviously you have no idea just how long that certain person has been acting in his SRSBSNS bullshit way. It’s just how he’s always been; I mean, I should know. ^_^

Nah don’t worry about it, you don’t have to get sucked into his SRSBSNS bullshit. Just do what you normally do and leave him be; you don’t have to try reasoning with him, since he never listens.

Hey, I am new to this blog and this post just sprang into my face. Is this really necessary? I have read the article you are talking about and it seems like it was a reasonable response toward a rather worrisome rise in idiocy on the internet. I am not sure about you, but I don’t watch Code Geass for the laughs, nor do I sit there and think, “Why am I even watching this show?” I have better uses for my time. You make it sound like all other animes out there are infinitely better. Yes, certainly, among the droves of big-breasted harem shows, Neon Genesis Evangelion mimicries and the occasional manga/light novel adaption, you will certainly find lots and lots of better shows…..sense the sarcasm? Since you are a yaoi fangirl (I like yaoi too), you might know that there has probably rarely ever been a yaoi show out there with a) high-quality animation, b) good characterization and not just over-sexed, humanoid phalluses and c) an engaging storyline. I am one of those people who watch and read yaoi not just for the sex. So, how about you? Perhaps a little frustrated that Schneizel isn’t pulling his zip down and giving Kanon the spanking of his lifetime?

*Sigh* My point is, your entries are pretty funny and I can see that you are not really bashing this show (even though some of your humour is quite frankly, offensive). But, hey, the person you mentioned apologised and offered to remove that statement. Is there a point in starting a flame war? Or is this really all you do? Offend people by spewing spiteful words and then retreating and claiming to be the innocent one? I am sure you can make yourself seem reasonable by letting it go. I don’t care if you decide to ignore me or just start insulting me. If you have got any sense, you will know I am telling the truth.

    [Reply]

    miasmacloud (August 7, 2008 @ 6:26 am)

apologized? well, that depends on what you consider “conditional apology” to mean. “conditional” imo means he’s not being “sincere”. this isn’t about stuff like, “i didn’t ask permission”, which he seems to be associating it with, this is more like, “common sense, what of it?”

i wouldn’t make an article that goes “anime history is about the history of anime, history is a boring subject, thus it is boring too”. that statement doesn’t make any sense, is based purely off of the title and my own personal comment about what the title reminds me of, and it doesn’t make sense. honestly why would anyone write a sentence like that? but he pretty much did that to me, so lulz.

ascaloth’s comment, tho i don’t know the history behind their awesum relationship, but makes it sound like this is pretty typical bullshit of his! hm.

also, i went to nap 3hrs ago and didn’t even see his “conditional apology” post until 5mins ago, and some anon who saw my link in #gg posted, i guess, and now he’s like “GRR U SUK MIASMA”.

The author of the Geass-Defender post (Rawr! Internet Knight to da reskew!) clearly has not read any of the entries in this blog, may have skimmed the title and surmised from his limited “research” that this blog was a typical lolGeassux editorial.

This is just another clear example of what happens when you give pre-teens access to the internet. WHYYYYYYYYYY MUS YOU CRITICIZE MY ANIMUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.

This bit is so hilarious I can’t take it. I am going to LITERALLY DIE GIGGLING.

Because, you know, if lots of people say something is BAD, that must means there is an ORGANIZING BASHING MACHINE SET UP. Certainly not that that thing is actually bad or anything. The lack of evidence alone is proof of a conspiracy!

I guess the fact that the R2 anti-thread on 2ch just got to part 125 is also the work of the INTERNATIONAL BASHING MACHINE, or IBM for short.

I’ve honestly see eye-to-eye to with Kaioshin’s first point, never in my life have I been apparently unable to make sense. However, that doesn’t give him an excuse to be a faggot hiding behind the protection of said blog. I mean who else would post a challenge delibrately to EVERYONE on their own blog, that a pretty long count away from fucking EVERYONE? To honestly post into there is a trap because the only thing it is is biased and since the power to do wtf is in the bias’s hands all it deserves is shit. Although this has little to do with the discrepancies displayed by this blog which have been made obvious and clear unless someone is clearly fucking blind, I honestly just believe he feels like he can do whatever he fucking wants because it’s his blog.

  • Whocares (August 7, 2008 @ 9:05 am)

Kaioshin’s just making waaaaaaaaaay too much of a big deal about this stuff. Doesn’t know when enough is enough.

LOTS of things make very little sense or no more than an ONLYINFICTION sense in Geass, but I’ve still never really felt “lost”, so he does have a point there. I give him that.

But sloppy conspiracy talk and LOLGENERALIZATIONS about blogs and anyone who may disagree with him are still very much sloppy.

1st part = fine, and I think the majority who simply follows the show would be able to agree (although I think Anon from the Wind Valley and I could bring up a few parts where Geass was like “lol wat”).

    2nd part = I’m making a “-_-” face IRL.

I think we should all try to think with a cool head and remember that anime is meant to be enjoyed. And anyway, if animes are going to be downloaded illegally on the web only to be bashed and ridiculed, I guess it wouldn’t be so bad to reinforce some of those legislation we all fear so badly.

You’re missing the point. Some of us watch and enjoy Code Geass R2 BECAUSE to us it provides lots of lulz. I mean, different strokes for different people, right? What Kaioshin is basically trying to do here is to take away our freedom to enjoy whatever anime in our own way, and insisting that we all enjoy it HIS way.

The guy had a “I’m going to intervene anyone who speaks ill of my favourite series” Gundam Meister thing going on during the Gundam 00 run, and now he’s got a “Guys it’s the wrong method to use, my way is how you all should do it” Suzaku thing going on during the R2 run. Anyone see a pattern here? ;)

I like what Kaoishin say every now and then about Geass but the guy takes the internet business WAY too seriously. I tried telling him before that blog entry, how he should just ignore people trashing Code Geass because, well, it’s internet, Code Geass is popular, you’re bound to have people trashing it. Who really gives a flying f*ck whether it’s intentional trolling or not? But no, he just had to take it to blaming it on anime community, how people are like sheep and how they can’t think for themselves (o but those of us who writes ‘Code Geass rocks’ like sheep is ok). Then you have this conditional apology bullshit. It’s so childish and ridiculous that it turns me off from reading his recent Geass articles.

@Hellsau: Sycophant? LOLz, I was trying to be a peacemaker! *whines*

@Ascaloth: I was never trying to tell anyone how to watch their anime. Nor am I supporting either side of this argument. I just said I can’t believe there are people out there who watch anime even though they think it’s ridiculous. It’s pretty much like soap operas. It seems like a waste of time to me, but hey, it’s up to you if it gives you kicks and you even bother to spend another few hours writing up articles about how “messed up” it is. That’s the liberty of the internet, however revolting it might seem to some people (Kaioshin-sama for example).

I just wanted things to be resolved anyway; I for one don’t think flame wars are always that amusing, but I see no one gives a bloody monkey’s arse anymore, so I might as well drop my vigilante ways and consider my work done. This place gives me the creeps anyway.

Since when do you offer apologies in the form of a ‘trade’, then retract it when some random says some shit (what Anon said was pretty much true anyway). Even if everything is resolved to square one, you’ll still think that this guy is one mighty prick.

Plus, he expects some guy/girl to sit around his blog waiting for his reply to some offer. He’s in the wrong so he should act first to show he is sincere and ask for nothing in return.

Well nothing really harms you in the end since he just looks more and more of a dick. All I got from all of this is that he’s a mighty pain in the ass and that his blog, perhaps intelligent, is covered with too much shit for me to give a damn about.
