This fanfic, it sucks.

Someone told me to read Prince or Zero? @ fanfiction.net. Gunna be honest! I read up to like chapter 5, then skimmed up to like ~17, then decided I really don’t want to read this crap. It somehow manages to create a trainwreck at which the speed and momentum builds then tramples and thunders through time and characters quicker than the actual show, then immediately drops to an all-time low point, even lower than the low points of pacing of the actual show. Given the bipolarness of the actual anime’s own pacing, this is somewhat of an accomplishment, but not a very positive one, tbh. It even manages to create a lower “audience must have high tolerance for bullshit” than the actual show itself, which is also impressive but not positively so. Within the first chapter, we have an 8yr old Lelouch going from insulting his father to being given an army to take over Japan with, and this all happens within like 2 paragraphs of each other? Right, okay.

Moving along to later chapters, it appears that everyone and their mother’s dog knows who Zero is, like Kallen and Suzaku. Characterization is like “lolwat”. The author pretty much creates events by sticking characters there and that’s that. C.C. at Ashford? Sure why the hell not! Also, apparently Lelouch has some title like the FUCKIN’ EPIC STRATEGIST OF BRITANNIA~! But, you know, when I read the fanfic, its a total mystery as to how he obtained this title, since the writing involved to create the strategies and tactics required to be titled something like AWESOME STRATEGIST are seriously beyond the authors writing ability. The only thing I am really amused by is how there happens to be a character named G.G.

Just like all fan fiction, then.

I’m glad I never really got into writing any fanfiction…but I did think about it, back in the day when Code Geass didn’t even exist.

So I spared the world a little pain, perhaps? Nah….probably just some laughs.

I remember seeing that once. I never read it because the title itself looked crappy.

“The Castaway Prince” is pretty good, if you like lemon. Quite fappable.

Aah man, “Prince or Zero”. It really is one hella lame story, and then I looked at the reviews for that thing and was “wtf 700 reviews?! o_O”

Heh, no such thing as bad advertisement.
But eh, I never claimed it was a masterpiece, I’m just writing it for fun.

I read a lot of fanfiction when I was like 14-15. At the time I enjoyed it a lot. I obviously don’t really do that anymore.

In general all fanfiction is fucking horrible because it’s generally written for 14-year olds by other 14-year olds, but like with all rules there are exceptions and there are three or four authors which I still enjoy reading to this day.

Prince or Zero doesn’t start off rather well, but it does get much better in the later chapters. Though it is overshadowed by Lelouch of Britannia… but masterpiece though that is it’s update schedule is almost nonexistent.

    well….that was just bad…..-_-
but seriously, not ALL fanfiction is bad. some are actually better than the actual work….it’s just hard to find; you can go through a day looking for good fanfic in ff.net and never find one….

Oh blah, I enjoyed it but then LC is probably my fav author with the exception of Keski the Great and his fantabulous way with words. The only thing I have grown tired of after reading this fic is the loli jokes, which are now blatant and clumsy. (He claims it is now a plot point.)
