Charles vs. Lelouch vs. Schneizel

Charles, Slayer of Lies vs. Demon King Lelouch vs. “Nice Guy” Schneizel. Winner will change the world. Heaven or hell, thunderdome, final destination, etc.

Charles di Britannia, the SLAYER OF LIES
0% Fabulous, 100% GAR

Country Alignment: Britannia… well, not really since it’s FULL OF LIES
DnD Alignment: CHAOTIC EVIL LOLOL?
Party members: Suzaku (Suzaku will probably not trust Schneizel after 17, and certainly isn’t siding with Lelouch), whoever in Britannia would pick him over Schneizel
Beliefs: PEOPLE ARE NOT EQUAL, the world is full of lies, the world needs to be re-created
Goals: Rid of the world of lies by remaking it
Powered By: Disgust towards the current state of the world
Strengths: Immortality, other magic Geass powers probably, voiced by Wakamoto Norio
Weaknesses: V.V. refers to him as being naive still in how the world works which might have to do with why he thinks everyone is a god damn liar
Strength or Weakness: Openly encourages people to come challenge him, has some grand master plan in the works
Life Expectancy: He’s immortal, but I’m sure there’s a plot device like the IMMORTALITY CANCELER
Overall: He’s the one who’s been pulling most of the strings but Geass is all about the underdog so it doesn’t actually matter if he’s done like 50yrs of planning, he’s getting fucking owned in the end somehow

The Demon King Lelouch Lamperouge
100% Fabulous, 0% GAR

Country Alignment: United Federation of Nations
DnD Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Party members: Orange, Kallen, Rolo, Sayoko, I’m also going to guess Cornelia (and thus Guilford by proxy)
Beliefs: The king has to move first in order for his subjects to follow, don’t shoot unless you’re also prepared to be shot, treat your subordinates well and in turn they will treat you well but fake little brothers should be thrown away as used rags
Goals: Create a world where the weak aren’t discriminated against, avenge his mothers death
Powered By: LOVE!
Strengths: Charisma, dramatic flare, getting people to do what he wants (literally!), has magic powers
Weaknesses: Sister complex, overly elaborate things which can be toppled by a mere cat
Strength or Weakness: His outlook on friendship, how much he cares about his subordinates
Life Expectancy: Some important staff person already said that Lelouch is going to get a happy ending of some kind so even if he dies, he’ll die happy
Overall: He’s the fucking main character

“Nice Guy” Schneizel el Britannia
50% Fabulous, 50% GAR

Country Alignment: Britannia
DnD Alignment: Lawful?! Neutral
Party members: People who would rather follow him over his father
Beliefs: Too much winning is bad because it crushes hope, countries are defined by their people, a true ruler knows they have to be an asshole sometimes, atom bombs are okay
Goals: Get rid of Zero and Daddy
Powered By: The cold hand of science and a fuckton of money
Strengths: Fucking sexy, SMRT, has contacts in places, “humanizer” (he can tell people exactly what they want to hear), has information that people would probably like
Weaknesses: Exercises a lot of caution, no magical powers
Strength or Weakness: Described as being realistic before in Newtype, tolerant of who the person is in favor of their ability, some knowledge of the magical powers but unknown how much
Life Expectancy: Depends on how long Lelouch waits to extract the truth from him about his mother, also depends on if he’s going to go batshit or not, also depends on how more awesome he is than Lelouch because underdog Lelouch is gunna win all of this shit and beat the fuck out of anyone who is more awesome than he is
Overall: Mixed bag

As I write this, I begin to actually consider that Schneizel’s psychotic lunatic flags are all completely red herrings and he’ll turn out to be a villain but instead of being a mad man, turn out to be a neutral balance between his dad and his little brother. OH SHIT EVEN HIS AGE IS IN BETWEEN THEIRS WTF MORE SYMBOLISM, AND JUST THROUGH SOMETHING LIKE AGE?!

So how about the ending?

Some important person said before that Lelouch is going to get some kind of happy ending. I’ve assumed that this means he’ll accomplish his goal of turning the world into a gentle place, even if he winds up dead. The possibility of Charles winning, thus, becomes like 0% because I’m pretty sure that Lelouch winning would not involve the world being destroyed. Well, unless something happens like Nunnally dies then Lelouch pulls out some sudden 360 in personality and decides that the world needs to be destroyed! In which case destroying it would be accomplishing his goals suddenly.

Lelouch succeeding in his goals and Charles failing is pretty much black/white (oh shit I think I understand R2 09 even better now FUUUUUCK), so where the fuck does Schneizel fit into all of this? Baaaw. I’d like to wave the flag that he will reveal his “true self” to be a psychopath who’s been playing it safe until he got his hands on something destructive and the right opportunity, but I’ve started to reconsider that while trying to look at the larger picture rather than fangirlish “psycho Schneizel is fucking A+++ do want”-type desires.

 Thinking is far harder than shlicking, btw!

I think there is a bit of similarity between the three. They seem to share a similar interest: Producing results. All three have shown they can/would/etc do what it takes or sacrifice shit as long as the outcome is what they were hoping for. It must run in the family, honestly. Kinda makes Suzaku following any of them funny~

I’m getting the feeling that you’re staring a little too intently into the void, there. Careful with that!

As long as I don’t turn into Natrone, I think I will be okay.

That is such an awsm analysis/comparison. I hope Nanally wins bcoz that’s like the only plan that doesn’t require world destruction.

“Thinking is far harder than shlicking, btw!”

It is. But this was a good read, even if the staff may just pick and choose what parts actually matter, out of everything that is out there.

“Kinda makes Suzaku following any of them funny~”

Because he still thinks he can change Britannia/Area 11 from within!

But since he’s going to be responsible for the nuking of Tokyo, unless he blames Lelouch or it wasn’t his fault for some reason, I think he’ll get a chance to either leave that path or just throw his ideals away and just stick with it.

kinda makes suzaku fighting the war stupid, since his beef with OoBK were that they were terrorists and doing things the wrong way. They’ve been legitimized now. Does he really want japan to be free? Only if it’s his way apparently. But hey, of course Zero is the bad guy, so that’s okay. *sigh*

wait a minute, just read the new tv guide info for ep 17. If Naoto = Canon, is this his chance to ditch Schneizel and seduce Lelouch instead? (O_O)

“Lelouch pulls out some sudden 360 in personality”

Its 180 <_<… if he pulls 360 he’ll end up facing the same direction.

I like Schneizel, and think he has been criminally underused in the show, but I’d be devastated if he replaced Charles as the end boss. Charles is pure awesome, hijacking an international broadcast just to tell your son “it’s on!”. Literally an epic father son quarrel.

I wouldn’t have been surprised, however, if Schneizel had been the survivor (not necessarily the winner) of the three-way battle, but I think his chances went down since the nuke sanction.

Man, the japanese fans went apeshit when that one comedian guy called Geass that during the Geass matsuri broadcast. Geass is SERIOUS BUSINESS!

Lelouch is sort of powered by love and greed at the same time.
