R2 16: The calm before the shitstorm

Schneizel’s fabulous 30 seconds of screentime :shlick:

  • I think the pizza C.C. eats in China is a half and half pizza using the Mayo King pizza and the Purukogi pizza with a sausage roll crust from JP Pizza Hut.
  • Apparently Lelouch put his contact back on inbetween leaving the World of C and the end of R2 15? Or, alternatively, the World of C is not actually “reality”. He had his contact on when he left reality, so he had it back when he came back to reality. Maybe this is related to how the Emperor escaped being trapped there too.
  • Since the Knight of 10 is a jackass and he doesn’t have his own voice actor, does this mean he’s going to die next episode? :imafag:
  • There’s a Valkyrie group in the Brit military who use… pink Lancelots? …pink Lancelots? Pink Lancelots? Lloyd makes a lot of shit, but what the fuck guys, PINK LANCELOTS?
  • Rolo looked kinda cool in his glasses and suit.
  • Oh, and this chessboard setup? You can overanalyze it to fuck and back, but the tl;dr is that if it’s foreshadowing anything at all, it’s foreshadowing Lelouch living at the end, both sides losing a lot of people, and that Lelouch will bear the blood of the dead on his… erm, head.
  • I think this has been a running joke among fans for a while. What the fuck is it with Australia? You can tell by that map that red = Britannia, blue = United Federation of Nations, orange-yellow = Euro Universe, so what’s up with Kangaroo Land? Our history is that Kangaroo Land was settled in by the Dutch, and later colonized by Great Britain. Did Europe never go there or something and the natives all died off then global warming started and it turned into a cancer-emitting beacon so the people there are mutants and no one wants to go there anyway? To think that people from the Code Geass universe might not have ever seen the cuteness that is a Koala… (Edit: Also what the fuck is the pink spot in the Middle East? Iraq became FABULOUS or what?)
  • The closed caps said Prayer last week, and Freya this week. Make up your fucking minds. Maybe her bombs are powerful because it actually contains the power of a 1.49mil dmg Ether Strike. (Well, I guess that only makes sense for the US version…)

Overall, transitional episode is transitional. There’s other stuff to be said, mostly speculation based off of the Korean blog buuut I kind of want to go play Atlantica Online. >_>

Wasn’t Australia a prisoner dump for a while irl? Maybe in Code Geass land, a bunch of Geass users that Charles doesn’t like are sent there and therefore it’s hush hush or something really dumb like that.

Well, since this takes place in a world where gunpowder wasn’t invented, it has already been established that these people miss really obvious things.

    Like Australia.

They probably only noticed it when they got satellites or something, and then felt too embarrassed to ever go there.

Anyway, the spoilers seem to have gotten the meeting between Lelouch and Suzaku right. That one might not have been easily predicted from past events, so maybe there is some truth in there. Although some of it was wrong too, so either they are just very good guesses, or some true information mixed up with guesses (perhaps by other people), or misinformation spread by Bandai to stir up interest. Actually, I’ve got most of the options from that previous poll in that sentence, don’t I? Sure am covering my bases.

Finally, what is UP with the goddamn pacing? Put some breathing spaces in your goddamn scripts! There’s no need to CONTINUOUSLY INFODUMP the shit out of your viewers!

After 13 episodes of “blaaa” they realized they needed to shove a bunch of shit into the last stretch. Pacing, what’s that?!

Australia is neutral. This was established in season 1, if I remember correctly.

Also, I was reading on /a/ that some of the novels cover the year between s1 and r2. Is this correct (I’m assuming you have some knowledge of this)

I’m aware of what the novels say about some stuff, but idk about their reliability. In the R2 novel, Suzaku was ordered to kill Nunnally if his memories return. In the R2 anime, this is completely different.

The real question is WHY is Australia neutral.

No Ancient Ruins in Australia, so Charles doesn’t care?

Maybe they coloured them pink to differentiate them from the rest of the Knightmares? They certainly stand out…

As for Australia, I think they either forgot to colour it in or there’s some weird explanation for it like everything else(or none at all). Maybe Kangarooland is neutral and they’re minding their own business? Who knows…

I always thought Australia was full of spiders.
