Hey, I remember why I like Code Geass
I decided to re-evaluate why I’m watching Geass amidst the negativity generated after the events of R2 15. I’ve felt since the beginning of R2 fairly neutral to it. Eventually, I came to the conclusion that I am actually quite satisfied, but this isn’t because of the show itself, its because of the reason why I’m watching it. I seemed to forget this. When I first watched ep1 s1 raw, I didn’t really know much Japanese, I had no idea what the concept/basis of Geass was. Yuurei, el, dovac and I were just picking a new show to sub.
I saw this during the op and that’s all I needed to approve the show:

I dug out my old D drive and screenshotted the old [gg] release fff
Being the extremely shallow fangirl that I am, I can honestly say that I’ve been more or less satisfied so far!

So, why are you watching it?
Edit:
Hahah, holy shit.
[coj] my 7-yr old brother asked me to pause at schneizel’s appearance in S1 OP1 :V
[coj] he was fascinated :V

Lelouch and Schneizel would make me watch this show even if it was about riding horses.

If the show was about riding horses, it’d be 100 times better.

Well, the show featured a smart guy, who wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty, but remained human enough. That’s quite unusual for the anime, plus the storyline seemed to be quite interesting. As for R2… I’m watching it out of a habit mostly :)

Killing every single person that has Geass is really humane.

First off, it’s already R2 :) Besides, he’s got reasons to try to eliminate geass users, and though you might question it, they do make sense. Every time you’re pulling something big, there will be sacrifices, that’s the way things are.

I used to like it, even though it got really bleh around the lolchina part. Then ep 13 happened. I don’t really have a reason to stop, so I might as well watch to see how ridiculous it gets.

Because I actually enjoy it, in non-ironic fashion and otherwise, and want to see how the series ends.

Lol, coj’s little brother is definitely heading for the right direction.
And I watch it because Schneizel is FABULOUS, enough said. (I’d mention Lelouch, but he still needs a few years to come close to his fabulous brother’s level….he’s getting there though)

Aww, there was no Orange in the poll.
I’m watching it because I love those condescending eyes and mouths that some of the characters have.

I’m watching it for the FABULOUS. Haven’t seen so much of it since the Phantom of the Opera film.

I did actually like the first season, although it was fairly ridiculous even then. But somewhere along the way it became pretty obvious the show had no idea where it was going any more - the 24/25 clusterfuck made that particularly obvious - so I figured it was pulling a Death Note and falling apart completely after over-extending itself.
So I am pretty much watching season 2 just to be PROVED RIGHT. This is going fairly well so far!
