So R2 09 had the highest ratings yet

It has been a long-running saying of mine that if SunRise wanted to make Geass the most awesome show ever, they should make a show called “Schneizel, Xingke and Orange’s Excellent Adventures”. (Also, yaoi.)

At a mighty 3.3%, R2 09 is currently R2’s best viewer pull in it’s new timeslot! AND GUESS WHAT IT HAD IN THIS EPISODE?!

Schneizel: Check

Xingke: Check

Orange: Check

Schneizel mind raping Lelouch, the viewers and the internet: Check

Xingke being a fucking badass with a sword: Check

Orange sipping the bubbly in the middle of the desert: Check

Bonus: Canon making fag jokes: Check

So, screw logic.

This high rating has nothing to do with Geass being off a week, or there being a loli, or whatever, it’s obviously because the Holy Three of Geass were put in the same episode together, plus direct gay jokes in the anime instead of beating around the bush with bullshit like Suzkau and Lelouch’s “YOU’RE NOT HERE” phone call.

  Dumb (or is it?) question: how were most TV viewers going to know all that would happen and then decide to tune in? The Turn 9 preview doesn’t help much.

  And not even spoiled, up to date Code Geass nuts could predict, say, that Orange was going to show up, or that chess would be involved, for example.

  Apparently someone predicted that at the very end of Turn.9 someone would return with the catchphrase Zenryoku a month before airing…
